Once when I was a kid my parents had people over at our house for a wake. I was making a small grave in the dirt next to the fence for the GI Joe rip-off action figure that my mom had just bought from the super-market. Nobody was paying attention to me and that's how I wanted it because I didn't want anybody to know or interrupt what I was doing. My uncle Eloy was always drunk. He was better than anybody ever at embarrassing people and getting beaten up. He came to the funeral dressed as an indian, which is how he always dressed, wearing a bandana with two feathers in it and sandals with white tube socks. "Hey kid! Come here, I wanna show you...going a show you somethin. Come here!" I was immediately scared because I thought I was going to be in trouble for the mock funeral. I got up fast and stepped on the grave and felt the doll break. I went over to my uncle. He showed me his elbow. On the tip was a huge perky wart. He pulled the skin up so that the wart was just above the elbow and pointed to the sky. "At twenty, they look like this." He let go of his skin and the wart moved back down so that it was on the tip of his elbow pointing directly at me. "At thirty, like this. And at forty..." He pinched the loose skin below his elbow and pulled down hard. "At forty, they fucking start looking like this." His elbow looked like boiled chicken. "Tits. Chee-chees. Becareful son. Get out a here."
